The 1746-N2 is a 32-channel digital output module for Allen-Bradley. The module is primarily used to energize or drive discrete devices (such as indicators, buzzers, horns, alarms) and drive devices (such as solenos, motors, and other devices). Allen Bradley manufactured the 1746-N3 or 1492 wiring system. These connectors or wiring systems are compatible with this module to ensure proper termination and adequate wire size when used. This also prevents improper wiring from being pre-assembled and ensures that the module doors can cover the terminal wiring. Other wires can also be used, however, large sized wires will overoccupy the front panel, which will make troubleshooting difficult even if the module door is closed.
