Voltage Adjustment DECS-200 regulates the generator RMS voltage from internal no-load to full load by 0.25%. It does this by leveraging digital technology to develop signal processing and precision regulation algorithms, using years of experience to manufacture tens of thousands of digital regulators. The stable DECS-200 utilizes proportional (P), integral (I) and derivative (D) stability control. The DECS-200 has 20 pre-programmed stability (PID) setting exciters for field applications. The slope of the low frequency limiter can be tuned in increments of 0.1Hz to 0 to 3 times p.u. This adjustability allows precise matching of the operating characteristics of the DECS-200 prime mover and the load applied to the generator. This feature is also useful for other potential applications where the system is damaged, such as changes in the system voltage and reducing frequency cases that exceed the V/Hz ratio. Set point control The DECS-200 has a means of external set point adjustment to control the mode of operation. This eliminates the need for remote or multi-point control of additional devices such as motor operating potentiometer excitation systems. Set points for operating mode can be 4-20mA or ±10 V DC from up/down contact input or auxiliary input. Auxiliary input to adjust its operating mode predetermined adjustment range. Two setpoint control methods can be implemented via the RS-232 communication port, using Windows®PC software, or via the RS-485 port using the Modbus™ protocol. No matter which set point method is used (contact input, auxiliary input? Or communication with PC or PLC), the traversal rate operation mode of all modes can be adjusted independently. This means that the operator can customize the speed and “feel” to suit his/her needs.

The pre-set input DECS-200 provides additional flexibility, allowing for pre-set operating points for each mode of operation.
