The IC697CPM790 is a 90-70 series Programmable Logic controller (PLC) CPU. The CPU is a single slot wide module designed for critical applications such as emergency shutdown systems, fire fighting, gas and other applications. The CPU supports triple media redundancy (TMR), enabling automated test routines by merging separate C programs.
The IC697CPM790 has 1mb of battery-supported memory and can use up to 512KB of memory through user programs configured using the ladder diagram programming language. When configured in simplex mode, the CPU supports any combination of discrete input and output points up to 12K; 2048 discrete inputs and 2048 discrete outputs. Similarly, the IC697CPM790 is capable of handling up to 8K analog inputs and outputs, any combination when operating in simplex mode and 1024 voting analog inputs. It is equipped with an 80486DX2 microprocessor with a clock speed of 64 MHz.
