The IS200TPROH1C is an Emergency Protection (TPRO) terminal board developed by GE. Three PPRO I/O packages are installed on the Emergency Protection (TPRO) terminal board. It has a pair of potential transformers (PT) for the bus and generator voltage input and regulates the speed signal input for the PPRO. There are three DC-37-pin connectors on it, one on each side of the PPRO group connector. Each DC-37 accepts a cable to the Mark* VIe backup trip relay terminal board. TPROH1C has two pluggable modules, each with 24 barrier terminals.
Do not unintentionally cross-connect the DC voltage in 240 V AC and 240 V AC applications. The peak voltage will be higher than the MOV rating, resulting in MOV failure. Most AC power supplies have ground neutral wires, so if an accidental connection is established between 125 V DC and AC voltage, the sum of the peak AC voltage and 125 V DC will be applied to the MOV connected between DC and ground. On the other hand, in 120 V AC applications, MOV ratings can withstand peak voltages without failure.
IS200TPROH1C Compatibility
TPROH1C is a simplex and TMR application that works with PPRO I/O packages. TPROH#C links to the three PPRO I/O packages in the TMR system. Both the TPROH1CD and H12C accept three PPROH1As for direct connections and include a DC-37 connection for the three cables to the spare trip relay terminal board.
IS200TPROH1C Installation
The TPROH1C and plastic insulators are mounted on a sheet metal carrier mounted on a DIN rail mount. TPRO and insulators can also be mounted on sheet metal assemblies bolted directly to the panel. A typical #18 AWG wire is used to connect the speed signal and PT input to the terminal. The TPROH1C block terminal can be removed to replace the circuit board. TPROH2C is a removable European terminal that can be inserted.
IS200TPROH1C operation
On Terminal 31-48, a nine-speed input is displayed. Consumers can get P11 output from Terminals 24, 5 and 9. The return path of the P24 output is Terminal 8 (MARET). 28 V power supplies for I/O groups R, S, and T produce P24 outputs. P24V output can be accessed even if any I/O packets are closed. Terminals 6, 10, and 12 are 4-20 mA inputs, fanned to R, S, and T PPRO connections, and assigned for future control extensions. For 4-20 mA inputs, terminal 8 (MARET) is used as the return path.
